I have found that solar returns can’t outweigh transits or progressions, so that means if you have a ton of 7th house planets in your solar return chart, that doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to be in a relationship. “What about solar returns though?” you might be asking.

With progressions, you always need to overlay them with the natal chart. Really the only thing I look at in the progressed chart is the progressed moon and the aspects it’s making with other progressed planets or with the person’s natal planets. Secondary Progressions are what I look at next, just to back it up. To give an example, Jupiter will be in one house for about a year, but you may not feel the effects of it in that house so much until a more quickly moving planet like Mars squares it, opposes it, or forms a conjunction to it.
